I'm referring to Copper Embossing and just a touch of Copper Ribbon in my title today. Those are the things I used to make a Father's Day card for my husband this year. I also used the Rooted in Nature stamp set on along with Tranquil Tide card stock and a banner made from Nature's Poem Designer Series Paper. Take a look....
Aren't those leaves from Rooted in Nature and embossed in Copper gorgeous? The triple Banner Punch made it super easy to get good even tails on my striped DSP. From the stripes in the DSP I pulled out some Grapefruit Grove card stock and die cut a Stitched Oval as a place to plant the tree from Rooted in Nature. I love that this set has coordinating dies for it too! I also love the Lakeside Dies and this label die in particular, the one that I stamped and embossed Happy Father's Day on, also in Copper on Mint Macaron card stock. At least this copper doesn't tarnish and no polish is required!
I forgot to take a picture of the card before signing so I don't have a full interior view. You can see the Copper leaves embossed down one side.
We had a quiet day yesterday, played Qwirkle, watched movies, Garrett put Legos together and I sewed. That was before Poppie came home. Then we went for a Mexican dinner. I had a meeting afterwards and the guys went swimming. Garrett picked Skip-Bo to play after they returned from the pool. I am a game player and Poppie tolerates them. But you do anything for grandkids, don't you? We're off this morning to run a few errands! I hope your day is delightful. - Dawn
