What a fun idea! I love how you finished the inside too. Thanks for playing along at The Paper Players!

Really cool Dawn. I go thru the Artisan Teams blog hops and love their cards and projects. I did see this technique and have it on my "To Learn" list. I love how your bird turned to pool party color when heat set. How cool is that! I think your rust turned out pretty darn good too! My FAVE is when you use scalloped borders on the inside of your cards. I don't know what it is; but, it just makes for the prettiest borders. Almost like a cafe curtain.
We have had some good news and some bad news thru our busy week this week.
The cold weather here is just awful. I have a story to tell you about a box of kleenex too!
Stay warm and get well!!!! That's an order my friend!!! Hot tea and chicken soup. =)
Thanks for sharing with us!

Your card is beautiful! I hope you have a good supply of kleenex on hand!

Dawn, I think you're doing an awesome job with the rusting technique. This card reminds me of a weathered sign you might see when you go picking for vintage treasures. In a word it's striking. My friends up North laugh or get angry when I say the word cold, but we know it has been COLD around here. Stay in, stay warm and take care of yourself.

Do you have directions for the faux rusty metal technique?

Joanne James

What an interesting card! I think your faux rust looks pretty good Dawn and the bird is very clever! Isn't it great when you do something 'wrong' but end up discovering a whole new thing? love it! Thanks for joining my CAS bird challenge over at The Paper Players this week!

Ann Schach

I think your rusty metal is pretty cool. I love that you can see the bird image on it. Thanks for playing along with us at Freshly Made Sketches!

Is there any way we can access this technique?

linda callahan

I saw that technique on Allison's site as well.......loved it! And yours came out fabulous! It is such a neat look!

Oh this is just gorgeous! I saw this video too and love how you've incorporated it onto your card. Thanks for joining us at FMS this week!
