It was not me! I have a "little" while before I reach that number but a friend of ours turned 60 last week. This is the card I made for him.
I have several things on this card that I did for a particular reason and he may not have even realized it. The Woodgrain Embossing folder was used because our friend is a deer hunter and spends a lot of time in the woods. As far as the acorns go, I could have easily punched out enough acorns to feed a few deer, or picked them up in my yard! The Acorn Builder Punch made it so simple to punch this trio out for the front of this card. The Large Number Framelits made a quick job of cutting out the big "60" in Pumpkin Pie Glimmer Paper. I chose Pumpkin Pie because he's also a Clemson University graduate and big fan! The Labeler Alphabet stamp set is easily one of my favorite stamp sets in the Annual Catalog this year. It makes it so easy to personalize or to make my own sentiments as I did here with the "it's nuts" portion. The "YOU ARE" is found in Sunshine Sayings and it is definitely the trend to mix fonts these days. The little Old Olive Enamel Star represents the "star of the day" for the birthday boy. I hope he had a really great day!
On the inside, here's what I did. Two stamp sets, one from Party with Cake and the other from Birthday Banners, were used for more mixing up of fonts. "Eat all the cake" is one of my favorite birthday sentiments. Who doesn't deserve to eat all the cake on their birthday!?
Thanks for stopping by today. I've had a stretch of being away and haven't posted as consistently as I usually do. I hope to be able to do more stamping in the next few days. I hope you find some stamping time too! - Dawn
