We went to a graduation party for the daughter of a sweet friend of ours last weekend. We arrived a few minutes late but when we got there our friend told us that we were not late at all, then she continued that hispanics show up a couple of hours late! And she was right!! When we left, several hours later, there were people just arriving. We knew it was going to be a night of music and dancing and so I used the Birthday Fiesta stamp set to make a graduation card for the guest of honor.
I used the tag on the gift bag in the Annual Catalog as my inspiration. Isn't that paper so fun? It's from the Festive Birthday Designer Series Paper. Lots of cute prints in that package of DSP. The clip, Pumpkin Pie Ribbon and the Wooden Elements "Congrats" retired but I couldn't resist including them. We've known the graduate since the day she was born, we attended her First Communion and made her Quinceanera invitations. That was my first Quinceanera! She's a special girl who's worked hard and deserved to celebrate an awesome accomplishment!
I had to pull out Big News from my stash "to sell" to use inside the card...
Thanks for stopping by my blog today. I've been MIA lately but I've still been making cards. I've also been doing some other projects like sewing and quilting, gardening and reading. It's good to take a break sometimes and I'll be sharing some of the cards I've made while I've been away in the next week or so! Have a wonderful weekend! - Dawn
