I managed to find all the pictures I needed for today's post and snatched some off of Facebook. I'll see if I can try to if I can translate them into a story about my exciting trip to Convention this year! I loved sharing the adventure with friends, both old and new, and this year with two of my Downline who were also able to attend. I have to say that my Ultimate Convention Experience started with My Paper Pumpkin. I love my box that's delivered to my door each month but this was so much more!
Here we are at the My Paper Pumpkin party (try to say that 5 times fast!). Along with announcement about the party was a ticket to enter for a chance to win "The Ultimate Convention Experience". No, I didn't win. Of course we all put our ticket in and talked about how fun it would be to win. It included a Limousine ride to the Stampin' Up! home office and a VIP tour of the home office, a backstage tour, premiere seating for the General Sessions, and a one time pass to use to go to the front of the line to enter the Convention Center for yourself and six friends! We could only dream!
Sandy Ingbretson, myself and Charline Lovell at the first General Session. At the very end of this session they drew for the Ultimate Convention Experience and up popped the name Beth Klaumann! YES!! That was our friend and fellow Pal, Ginger Tiovonen's daughter and downline! Shelli asked if she had six friends with whom to share this experience and sure enough, she pointed to ladies on either side of her! Yay!!
Not too long after this Linda Callahan and I were sitting in our first class when Linda checked her phone. There was a message from Ginger inviting Linda and me to be part of the Ultimate Convention Experience with them. Linda couldn't even speak she just handed me her phone! Needless to say, we said, "yes"!
They had a photographer and videographer following us around on our VIP tour but I don't have any of those pictures. However, someone did snap this one of me packing a box on the picking line! The warehouse is unbelieveably clean and everyone with whom we spoke who works at Stampin' Up! really loves it!
Last, but certainly not least, our picture at the "rock"! We did have an extra person join us for the photo! But isn't that what it's all about...making new friends?! I certainly had fun doing just that!
Here we are before taking our backstage tour where we ran into Shelli. Only the photographer got that picture and he's supposed to email it to us.
This is behind the scenes. See that little computer in the front of the picture. We were told that's all they need to live stream different parts of Convention around the world!
We were able to stay in the auditorium after the tour and it was interesting seeing it almost empty! In just a few seconds it was full of Stampin' Up! demonstrators.
This is Linda and me enjoying the premiere seating...right behind the Gardner family! :)
Okay, I'm done! Thanks for bearing with me as I shared my awesome Convention experience. You can be sure that this is one event that I will definitely be using Project Life by Stampin' Up! to document!
I hope your Wednesday is WONDERFUL!! - Dawn
