I honestly don't remember if I have used this set yet or not but it was fun to pull out to make a pretty sympathy card. If you have to make a sympathy card it needs to be pretty. I used my friend LeAnne's sketch over at The Paper Players this week. It was perfect as I love sets of three.
Here is the card I created using the sketch. I made this card for a friend of my daughter's who I have gotten to know. She lost her father quite suddenly this week and I want her to know she's in my thoughts and prayers.
Timeless Textures was perfect for this card. I combined the stamped images with a sentiment from Heartfelt Sympathy, using it on one of the circles. Blushing Bride and Wild Wasabi Stampin' Write Markers were used to color the flowers on the top image. The bee was stamped with Memento Black Ink and then colored with a Daffodil Delight Stampin' Write Marker. Paper Snips were used to trim him out before attaching him with a Stampin' Dimensional. The wings are quite sparkly with a layer of Clear Wink of Stella. Finally, since I used a circle for the sentiment, Blushing Bride Baker's Twine was wrapped around the card and "bunchy" bow was added. I think this sketch is going in my "sketch file" to be used again!
Inside the card I kept it simple and combined a sentiment from Heartfelt Sympathy and another from an Occasions Catalog set, Sending Thoughts.
Well, I've got another busy day ahead of me but first I want to get this card in the mail! I hope your day is fantastic! - Dawn
