A couple of weeks ago I sent love and this week it's smiles! They're both certainly more fun to send with the Lift me Up stamp set and coordinating Up & Away Thinlit Dies.
I have a little back story for this one so bear with me. Samaritan's Purse, a missions minded organization started by Franklin Graham, is helping a young boy from Liberia who has tumors around his eyes which are distorting his face and causing blindness. His sight cannot be restored in the left eye. He has been brought to the US to receive some much needed medical attention from doctors in MN. You can imagine that he is overwhelmed by the US culture and the cold MN weather and has been a little homesick. A plea was put out for cards to be sent to him. He evidently loves mail. This is my contribution. I used the balloon dies to cut plain balloons in bright colors. Then I used the cute smiley face in Nailed It to stamp smiles all over the balloons. I covered part of the sentiment with scotch tape so I only had "Sending Smiles" showing, inked it up, removed the tape and stamped. I hope these smiley balloons convey my message!
Inside a couple of balloons were stamped along with the rest of the sentiment.
I hope this card brought you a smile today too! - Dawn
Your card definitely made me smile. What an uplifting story and I'm sure the young man will love this card.

Very cool that you took the time to do this! I will hear of some opportunity to bless others and I sometimes follow through and sometimes forget! With the cards at our disposal, we have a wonderful way to bless people!
Thanks for giving me a smile today! Connie
