We're an international group of Stampin' Up! demonstrators who all use the same stamp set for each hop. We hope you'll find lots of inspiration for using Botanical Blooms this week. In case you get lost along the way just click the link or the banner above and you'll be on The Stamp Review Crew page where you'll find a full list of hoppers to get you back on track.
If you didn't start with me you may have come from My Papercraft Journey, Kelly Kent's blog. Kelly always has some super inspiration for all of us!
I went bright and tropical with my card this week.
I used the leaf veins and line images to do a little emboss resist for my background paper. Heat embossing the images with Clear Stampin' Emboss Powder on Whisper White Card stock was the first thing I did. Then a little ink blending using Wild Wasabi, Daffodil Delight and Watermelon Wonder over the top of the embossing and on a separate piece of card stock for the sentiment. The stamping really popped after I rubbed off the excess ink with a paper towel. Since there are no sentiments in Botanical Blooms Stylized Birthday was used to heat emboss that big sentiment on the separate piece of cards stock that I had inked up. Basic Black card stock for the card base and the scallop circle sets off the colors of the card. I'm still working on getting my stash of birthday cards built up!
Inside the card more blooms and a banner from Birthday Banners finishes it off.
You're ready to hop on to Heidi Baks blog, RunningwScissorsStamper. Heidi is sure to "wow" you with her Botanical Blooms project!
