Papillon Potpourri is a stamp set that has been inked up a lot at my house and that's the set we're using for The Stamp Review Crew hop this week. If you haven't hopped with us before you can find out all about us by clicking the banner above and you'll also find a full list of hoppers in case you get off track at any time.
If you didn't start with me you may have come from Rochelle Blok's blog, The Stamping Blok. I always look forward to seeing the amazing creations on Rochelle's blog!
I used a little bit of watercolor to start my card. Using three of the new In Colors, I did a light wash for the background panel where the butterflies landed.
Lots of butterflies pack a punch and there's no shortage of them on this card! The large butterflies from Papillon Potpourri are attached in some spaces that were first punched from the background using coordinating Elegant Butterfly Punch. They look like they're ready to take flight. I couldn't resist using the Fluttering embossing folder for the card base. I love the way that turned out in the Sweet Sugarplum card stock. The Gold Metallic Thread make the perfect antennae tied around the butterfly bodies.
Inside the card I combined a couple of the sentiments from Happy Happenings and spattered them up a bit too...
You're ready to hop along now and you'll be heading over to Tinkerin-in-ink, Tanya Boser's blog. Tanya is the brains behind The Stamp Review Crew and her creations always inspiring.
