It's the first Monday in November and we're hopping again as we do on the first and third Monday of each month. Lighthearted Leaves is the stamp set The Stamp Review Crew is using this week. If you haven't hopped with us before you're going to find we are a group of Stampin' Up! Demonstrators from around the globe who each use the same stamp set to create our projects. We hope you'll find lots of inspiration for using Lighthearted Leaves this week! In case you've joined us on Sunday evening you may find a few kinks along the way as we use this evening "go live" to work them all out before Monday. If there's a missing link please be sure to check it out on Monday. If you get off track along the way simply click the banner or link above to find a full list of hoppers.
You've probably visited Martha Inchley's blog, Inch of Creativity, before arriving here. If you're like me, you've already seen some amazing inspiration over there!
I had yet to color one of the Lighthearted Leaves so that's what I've done today. I used Old Olive, Crushed Curry, Tangelo Twist and Cajun Craze Stampin' Write Markers for my coloring after first embossing the leaf with Gold Stampin' Emboss Powder. Take a look….
I don't know about your area but we are getting some beautiful leaf color now. Friday was especially pretty with a bright blue sky to set those colors off. We also saw some gorgeous color last weekend when we up on the Blue Ridge Parkway. These are some of the colors I've seen in the leaves around here. This leaf is set off by a little bit of "ink smooching" on some watercolor paper that's been popped up on top of the leaf itself.
The "Thanks" from Expressions Natural Elements with a little Gold Metallic Thread to back it up and a few Brights and Metallic sequins scattered around was all that was needed to finish this card up.
Inside another leaf was stamped after sponging on the same colors listed above...
That's it from me today. Now you're ready to hop along to see what Sue Plote has created to inspire us at This Pink Rooster. I'm sure it will be something to crow about!
