Today is another Stamp Review Crew blog hop! We're reviewing one of the sets from the Holiday catalog, Happy Scenes. Just in case you've not hopped with us before, we're a group of Stampin' Up! Demonstrators who hop twice a month, the first and third Monday. The thing that's a bit different about us is that we all use the same stamp set to bring you all kinds of inspiration for using it yourself. If you're reading this on Sunday night not all of the blogs may be live but will be by Monday morning. We give ourselves a little bit of time to get all the kinks worked out as our members are scattered around the world.
If you didn't start hopping right here then you may have come here from the very talented Nancy Smith's blog, iguanastamp. If you visited there first, I know that you've already gotten a lot of great ideas for this set.
I used Happy Scenes in a very simple way for today's hop.
Fall colors in Tangelo Twist and Mossy Meadow and groups of four are the elements that made this quick and easy to put together. The fall scene was stamped in Early Espresso ink and cut into fourths and mounted onto the Mossy Meadow card stock. It sort of looks like a window, doesn't it? I did the same thing with the piece of Designer Series Paper from Into the Woods. Then I used my sewing machine to keep them from falling like the leaves in our yard fell this weekend with all the wind and rain we had here. I used my Alphabet Rotary stamp for the sentiment. That stamp has come in so handy for me!
Inside the card I used the same stamp image and a leftover strip of the DSP...
That's it from me today! You'll be hopping onto Nikki Spencer's blog, My Sandbox, where you're sure to find lots more inspiration.
I was involved in a lot of Happy Scenes at World Card Making Day in Atlanta this weekend. This is one of them….
