This is definitely not a snowy day. I hope it's going to turn into a rainy day! I had to take a break from birthday cards today and use some goodies from the Holiday Catalog. I pulled out Snow Place and the sketch at Freshly Made Sketches and got busy to create this...
I took a little bit of liberty with the banner tails in the sketch to make it more of a snow scene. I got the curve by using just part of one of the Sleigh Ride Thinlit Dies. Memento Tuxedo Black ink stamped nice crisp snowmen. It was so fun to add the snowman pieces with the stamps from Snow Place. There are a lot of choices in this set but I kept these snowmen pretty simple. Snowmen need snow, don't you think? Snow Place has that covered too. The snowflakes were stamped first in Versamark ink and Heat & Stick Powder was applied. Over that Iridescent Ice was used for the glimmery flakes. They remind me of snow we get around here, if we get snow, it always seems to crust over with ice but it shimmers really pretty! Adding some White Glitter Ribbon to the bottom of the banner and for the bow around the top gave a hint more of the snowy feel.
Inside Soft Sky took over for the snow flakes….
And another view of the glimmer...
And the sketch that started it all….
We have a 60% chance of rain today and I'm hoping we don't end up in the other 40% as usual. We need a good soaking rain. Rainy days are also good stamping days. I hope whatever kind of day you have it's a stamping good day! - Dawn
