The Stamp Review Crew is back this week with Awesomely Artistic. Our hop takes place on the first and third Monday of each month. (You may be reading this on Sunday evening as we allow time to work out any kinks on Sunday.) The Crew is a global group of Stampin' Up! Demonstrators who all use the same stamp set to bring you lots of ideas and inspiration for using it yourself.
You may have started here or come from ARTfelt Impressions, Debra Currier's blog, where I'm sure you were "wowed"!
My card for today is pretty simple. I used one of my favorite techniques to create it.
I call it Triple Layer stamping but I've seen other names too. No matter what you call it, with so many pretty images this set is great to use for this technique. The Whisper White card stock was cut at 4" x 5 1/4", 3" x 4 1/4" and 2" x 3 1/4". These three were stacked up on top of each other and a little temporary adhesive was used to hold them in place while the stamping took place. Crumb Cake card stock is the framing color for each white piece. The bottom layer is the card base at 4 1/4" x 5 1/2". The next two Crumb Cake Layers are 3 1/4" x 4 1/2" and 2 1/4" x 3 1/2". The Crumb Cake frames will cover any little bit of un-stamped areas along the edges of the Whisper White pieces. The frame for the sentiment was embossed with Gold Embossing Powder and cut out with the Project Life Cards & Labels Framelits. I decided to make this a thank you card as I need one for my neighbor who picked up our mail and watered our lawn while we were at the beach last week! I found the "THANKS" in Another Thank You and it fit right in the frame. One more dragonfly was stamped and fussy cut out to go beside the frame.
Inside the card I continued with the same stamps and a sentiment from Crazy About You...
