Hello! It's the third Monday in July and time for another Stamp Review Crew blog hop. I always like to tell you a little bit about us in case you've not visited before. The Stamp Review Crew is a group of global Stampin' Up! Demonstrators who hop together on the first and third Monday of each month. We all use the same stamp set to bring you lots of inspiration for using it. In case you get off track on the hop click the banner to go to The Stamp Review Crew where you'll find a full list of this week's hoppers. We go live on Sunday night to work out any kinks and if you find any they should be worked out by Monday!
You may have come here from Kitty Stamp, Betty Traciak's blog where I am sure you've found some great inspiration. If not, be sure to hop back and visit her!
I broke out Watercolor Wings for the first time for today's hop. I ordered it on my first June order but when I received it I had two sheets of the same images! So I had to get a replacement set. I thought I'd break it out for today's hop and another special occasion today, our daughter's birthday! It's a bit of a different card for me and I fussed with it for quite some time. Take a look...
I was inspired by a sketch I found in an old Papercrafts magazine. I went from the sketch to the Pretty Petals Designer Series Paper stack and a piece of Blushing Bride card stock for the base of the card. The gold diagonal stripe vellum from the Fancy Foil Designer Vellum along with the Basic Black Striped Scalloped gave it a touch of elegance. The bloom was cut with the Floral Frames Framelits and embossed with the Elegant Dots Embossing Folder, making a bright spot for the gold embossed butterfly to light! I pulled out the embellishments next and started trying a few different things. I settled on the "Celebrate" from the Expressions Natural Elements, Metallic Gold Thread behind the butterfly and a couple of Watermelon Wonder buds from the 2015-17 In Color Blossom Accents. I hand-delivered this card when our daughter visited this weekend for her Gram's 90th birthday party! It was definitely too thick to mail.
Inside the card I used a couple of sentiments from Birthday Blossoms and another butterfly too!
Now you're ready to hop on to Heartfelt Inspirations, Debra Burgin's blog. That's always inspiring!
