Hi! Welcome to this week's edition of The Stamp Review Crew. In case you've never hopped with us before, we're a group of Stampin' Up! Demonstrators who hop on the first and third Monday of each month. We all use the same stamp set to create our projects and it's amazing at all the different projects there are! This week we're all using Zoo Babies and we hope you'll find lots of inspiration as you hop along with us. If you get lost at any time simply click on the banner or the link above and you'll find yourself on The Stamp Review Crew page where you'll find a list of this week's hoppers. Thanks for joining us!
If you're not starting here then you may have come from Yapha Mason's blog, Stamps & Scraps with Yapha blog where I'm sure you've seen Zoo Babies used in an inspiring way!
I loved this stamp set when I first saw it and just had to have it. It's definitely a multipurpose set for kids. I stuck with bright colors for my cards today. I started by making this fun birthday card….
The white embossed Positively Chevron pattern is the perfect place for these Zoo Babies to call home. All the animals were stamped on colors from the Brights Collection and punched out with the 1" Square Punch. Then they were popped up with Stampin' Dimensionals on Whisper White Postage Stamp punched pieces. Bermuda Bay 1/8" Tafetta Ribbon was tied around the card to hold the Decorative Label Punch with the Happy Birthday greeting.
Inside the card I used the Elephant from Zoo Babies to hold a balloon from Balloon Bash by its tail!
Next up is a baby card...
The first thing I did on this card was lay all the animals out on top of the Whisper White layer to see how they would fit the best. Then I picked them all up at one time with the largest clear block, used my Stampin' Write Markers to color the animals and stamped them on the Whisper White layer. Coloring blocking with stripes of Brights Collection card stock was the best way to make this "pop". The stripes were all adhered to a layer of Whisper White card stock and run through the Texture Boutique using the Alphabet Press Embossing Folder before attaching it to the card front and layering the animals on top.
Inside of this card I used a sentiment from Big News and colored in the open lettering with Stampin' Write Markers….
