We're so glad you're hopping with us today! In case you haven't joined The Stamp Review Crew blog hop before let me share that we're a group of Stampin' Up! Demonstrators who hop on the first and third Monday each month and we all create projects using the same stamp set. So you're sure to find lots of inspiration for Sheltering Tree on this hop. If you get lost along the way just click the link or the banner above and you'll go to the Stamp Review Crew blog where you'll find a full list of hoppers!
If you've come from Shana Gaff's blog, Stress Free Stamping, you've already gotten some awesome inspiration for Sheltering Tree!
I decided to do some tree chopping for my cards today. Let me show you what I mean….
For my first card I cut the tree in thirds after stamping...
After cutting the stamped image into thirds each third, which measured 1 1/2" x 3 3/4", was layered onto a piece of Hello Honey card stock. These layers were 1 3/4" x 4". They all went onto a Bermuda Bay card base. I used a couple of clouds from So You, stamped in Soft Sky ink, on the top third. The So You stamp set is where the greeting is from too.
I kept the inside of this card pretty easy with a couple more sentiments from So You….
The next card features a little "spotlighting"...
This time I repeated the stamping of the Spring flowering tree on a separate piece of Whisper White card stock. Then "chopped" the middle of the tree out with one of the circle dies from the Circles Collection Framelits. It fit right back onto the tree with a few Stampin' Dimensionals!
Inside of this one it's really simple. I left a lot of room for note writing….
Thanks for stopping by today! Your next stop on the hop is Debra Currier at Artfelt Impressions. Prepare to be impressed!
