The Stamp Review Crew is back with the Wondrous Wreath Edition this week. In case you're joining us for the first time, we're a group of Stampin' Up! Demonstrators who use the same stamp set to create our projects for each hop. I'm always amazed at the variety of projects I find on every hop! You'll find a link to The Stamp Review Crew blog on every stop. If you loose your way, click the link and you'll find a full list of hoppers to get you back on track.
If you haven't started with me then you probably arrived after viewing Cindy Beach's fabulous creation at Stamps, Paper and Ink. She always does amazing work!
When I started thinking about Wondrous Wreath I couldn't help remembering all the cute Christmas cards and projects I'd seen created with it. I've also seen great fall and spring wreaths and even a Valentine wreath. I'm sure it glad it's still available in the Occasions catalog as it's very versatile. I had to think for awhile about what to make this week and I came up with a card that will be one I can send to one of the couples I know celebrating special anniversaries this year. Take a look….
I combined Blackberry Bliss with some Gold and Silver Metallic Encore ink to make my card. The wreath itself is two-toned in silver and gold. The coordinating framelits made it so easy to trim the wreath out before adding it to the silver garland, also stamped in Silver Encore ink. It still needed a little something and pearls were just the right thing. In keeping with the silver and gold theme the pearls were heat embossed with silver and gold Stampin' Emboss Powder. I hadn't tried that before but it worked really well. Itty Bitty Banners and the coordinating Bitty Banners Framelits made adding the sentiment a cinch! Now I have to decide who will get this card.
But wait….I repeated the garland, this time in Blackberry Bliss, inside the card. And I was able to tape off the last line of the sentiment to emboss it in silver. I thought it would make a great anniversary wish!
