We're back for our second Stamp Review Crew blog hop and we're so glad you've joined us today!
You've probably just come from Martha Stewart's blog, Seasons of Stamping, where you've seen her gorgeous work! There's a list of stops on the hop at the end of my post so if you get off course just check the list to get back on track.
Today I decided to use the My Digital Studio Perfect Blend Brush Stamp set and make an 8"x8" scrapbook page today. I started with a "Be of Good Cheer" template and ended up with nothing of what started it but some stitching and the basic layout. Come and see.....
I know we're not actually drinking out of "to go" cups in this picture but we are having coffee and we did stop for Starbucks later. I had been wanting to scrapbook this memory since July and this seemed the perfect excuse. Meghan & family had come by a few weeks prior to her birthday and she and I enjoyed a cup of coffee in the garden while watching the boys. So her husband came up with the idea of me taking her out for breakfast on her actual birthday. I was so pleased as I thought we'd have a big family breakfast. Anytime these days, we acutally get some mother-daughter time is special and it takes extra effort. Of course, our pictures were taken with our phones. We had to ask the waitress to take the one of the two of us as we heading out. I'm glad we captured a little of our time together. Starting a My Digital Studio scrapbook page with a template is SO easy. If I was doing a Christmas page it would have been simple to just drop my pictures in and add journaling but I wasn't doing Christmas, I was doing a birthday. Background papers were quickly changed by choosing a different one from Nobody's business, which had hexagons to match the theme at Tupelo Honey Cafe. Switching the colors in the banners to match the papers was my next change. I also pulled in some embellishments, like the √ mark, Washi Tape and Best Day button from Nobody's Business. Then I enlarged the journaling box and brought in the cup from Perfect Blend and voilà I was done.
I love using My Digital Studio and this is just one example of how quick and easy it makes getting a scrapbook page completed.
