Good Monday morning to you! I was beginning to think I may have to send today's card to myself! I think I am finally on the road to recovery, thanks to some advice from a good friend. I hadn't left the house since Wednesday before going to church yesterday and then back home to a warm fire and a nap with the dog on my lap.
I love the sketches over at Freshly Made Sketches (FMS) and challenges are a good way to try something different. So I picked up my Morning Cup stamp set and the little dotted piece of DSP from Beau Chateau DSP and went to work. The card is a 3 1/4" x 6 1/2" Marina Mist Card Stock base to fit the Small Open End Envelopes. Soft Suede Card Stock went on next and then the two pieces of DSP. The coffe pot was stamped in Early Espresso Ink on Soft Suede Card Stock and trimmed out with Paper Snips. Then the coffee pot was stamped right onto the Very Vanilla Card Stock so the tiny little hearts would show. The Soft Suede coffee pot was attached right over it with Stampin' Dimensionals. The little hearts were colored with a Blushing Bride Stamin' Write Marker. The coffee pot still needed a little "umph". This was achieved with a little flower that was punched in Blushing Bride Card Stock using one of the punches from the Itty Bitty Punch Pack. A little Basic Pearl is its center. The two coffee cups, you always need someone to share coffee with, were stamped in Early Espresso on Marina Mist Card Stock and trimmed out like the coffee pot was. The steam was stamped on the Very Vanilla before attaching the cups. Two Blushing Bride Card Stock hearts were punched using the Owl Builder Punch for the cups. That little heart comes in very handy! The sentiment was stamped right on Blushing Bride and punched out with the Word Window Punch. Another of the Itty Bitty punched flowers in Marina Mist was attached to the end of this. I don't know why some cards come together so easily but today's did with the help of the sketch over at Freshly Made Sketches. You should check it out!
